Who Provides TPA?

TPA is designed for and tested with delivery by peer-to-peer, family-to-family Peer Connectors who are trained and supported by a supervisor/coach who is knowledgeable in the TPA model of offering information, support, advocacy, etc.

Required Staff Training:

  • 40 hours initially in concepts of empowerment, listening, helping, using one’s experiences to support others, and basic documenting and logging of work,

  • 40 hours within the first six months in advanced documentation, manipulating the database to develop reports, and reviewing interventions for robust delivery

  • 40 hours in the second six months, and

  • On-going technical assistance to study TPA and individual work.
